GE SmartHome Door Stop Alarm #50246 GE SMARTHOME SH50246 DoorJamb Alarm 120 dB alarm sounds when activated; On/Off switch activates and deactivates alarm ; Also works as a door jamb to prevent door ;from opening ; Easy to install and compact ;for travel ; Alarm deactivates when pressure ;is released from door stop plate ; For indoor use only ; Low-battery indicator light ; Requires 9V battery DoorJamb Alarm
Customer Review: Security on a budget
I travel for work, so having this door stop allows me a sense of security that otherwise I would not have. The alarm is very annoying so hopefully, in the event it was triggered, it would be enough to awaken even fairly deep sleepers.
My own issue with the unit is that you need a screwdriver to insert and remove the battery. I remove the battery when I travel so that there is no way for the on off switch to be activated by accident en route.
Otherwise, good value and small enough to pack and take each trip.
Customer Review: A Glorified Door Stop
Looks good with an accessorized alarm that is truly pointless. Good quality product but if someone is trying to breakdown your door than the door stop itself will do far more good for you, seconds to call 911 or load your gun/rifle than would the alarm sounding. Hearing a door come crashing in is sufficient to alarm you!! What we call in Texas, Kick robberies.

More about Anniversary..
So what do these two things have in common? On the surface,
not much. If your objective is to have a long and successful
career with an online business, then sustaining business success
is much the same as sustaining a long and successful marriage.
Recently I attended the 50th wedding anniversary of my parents.
As I listened to them answer questions about their life and
marriage, and how they succeeded, I could see similar traits or
characteristics with an online business.
I’ve been married for 25 years and while I’m not perfect, I’ve
learned a thing or two through my own mistakes.
Here are the common characteristics.
1) Listening - In marriage you have to listen and understand
each other’s wants and desires. In business you have to listen
and understand the customer’s wants and desires.
2) Trust - Customers will buy from you again and again if they
trust that you have their best interests in mind. In marriage,
trust is an essential element to make a marriage successful.
3) Communication - The root cause for most problems generally
comes down to poor communication. In business if you don’t
communicate the benefits of your product you won’t make many
sales. In marriage if you don’t communicate your feelings and
let your partner know what is going on inside of your head,
the benefit of your partnership will dissolve.
4) Partnership - How successful can you be in business by
yourself? Don’t you need successful partners to help you through
any number of business issues to meet your objectives and goals?
A partner could be your web designer, accountant, lawyer, copy
writer, business partner, etc. In marriage, partnership is the
foundation of two people working together towards a common
lifetime goal.
5) Commitment - Want to be a success in business? You have to
be committed and passionate in what you are doing. Want to be
successful in your marriage? You need to be committed and
passionate with each other.
6) New Offerings - In business you must look for new products or
services to keep your business moving forward. In marriage you
must look for new ways to keep the relationship fresh and
interesting.
7) Hard Work - Both marriage and business require long hours,
constant attention, and dedication. To be a success, and to
sustain success, you must work at it all of the time.
If you factor these characteristics into your online business,
you’ll go a long way to having a successful and profitable
online business.
